Even though it has HD, do you think it will still play just as well on a normal tv or should one not buy one because they do not have a HDTV. Like I don't have one in my room but I sure do have one in my living room.

hdtv is awesome though, it really does kick ass, and anyone who doesn't have it should get it b4 the ps3 because you will fall in love with hd.

There's no reason you couldn't use a PS3 on a regular TV. Obviously, it will look infinitely better on an HDTV, but both the standard and premium models have an AV Multi output, which I believe means you should be able to use the same connectors as the PS1 and PS2 use.
