Ya - there actually is a lot of that going on (selling ps2s) 
BUT - I heard its actually more expensive to fix the darn thing than just buying a new one.

meh, depends where you get it fixed, and how badly it is damaged... could cost anywhere from $10-$100 probably.

i personally only have ps2 and gameboy, in my time though have had Atari 2600, Neo-Geo, PS1 and a whole host of handheld - played most consoles on the uj market - would sell my soul for a new Ps3
